Order of Spenser Books
Spenser is a series of fictional detective novels by American author Robert B. Parker and later by Ace Atkins. Spenser is a private detective in Boston, although originally from Wyoming.
In addition to the 40 novels he has appeared in, Spenser was portrayed by Robert Urich in the ABC hit TV series Spenser: For Hire that ran from 1985 until 1988. The character has also made it to a number of Lifetime and A&E TV movies. Below is a list of all of the Spenser novels in order of when they were released:

Notes: Starting with Lullaby, the series is written by Ace Atkins. Silent Night was written with Helen Brann. Chasing the Bear is a Young Spenser novel that is a prequel to the rest of this series.
