I read Zane Grey novels in high school in the Seventies. They had book covers with an action description in a black box at the bottom of the page. Any available for my Walter Black editions?
My dad’s family lived five miles from the Grey’s. At that time they were the closest neighbors. At one time when I was a young teenager I read one of Zane’s books and it told about a wild bunch of kids that weren’t bad, like thieves, just wild crazy and always getting into fights and doing crazy dangerous stunts. I told my dad it sounded like the stories I had heard about him,his brothers and sisters. He said those stories sounded awful familiar. Wish I remembered which book it was. My mom totally changed my dad and my aunt told me they kept trying to pull mom down to their level and she just pulled them up! I’m 81 years old now and have great grandkids and wish I could give them at least the name of the book. One of my aunts dated Zane’s son for a while. She was pretty wild. I know she embarrassed me as an adult.
I really appreciate this listing of Mr. Grey’s books, Just recently purchased a 50 book collection of hardback books to replace the paper backs that I lost during my time in the military. Started reading Zane Grey novels when I was in the 6th grade and have been collecting them since.
I find that there are only two authors who I consider to be great western writes, Zane Grey and Louis L’Amour.
Thank you for this listing site, I will be bookmarking these pages so I can come back to them for reference to my favorite authors.
