Remembrance is a standalone novel by novelist Jude Deveraux. Hayden Lane, a renowned author of romance novels, finds herself unusually captivated by one of her fictional protagonists, a sensation she has never experienced before. This newfound obsession becomes so consuming that she barely registers her own engagement being called off. Driven by a burning desire to uncover more about this character, Hayden seeks the guidance of a psychic. The psychic reveals a past life connection, suggesting that Hayden was once Lady de Grey, a scandalous woman from Edwardian England, whose spirit supposedly haunts her former husband’s residence.
Despite being cautioned against further exploration, Hayden’s curiosity gets the best of her, leading her to undergo a hypnotic regression. However, the process goes awry, and instead of merely recollecting Lady de Grey’s history, Hayden finds herself fully immersed in that life, including its tight corsets and societal norms. This unexpected transformation thrusts her into a different narrative, one where the woman history labeled a seductress takes center stage, along with a brooding, enigmatic man. As Hayden lives out this alternate existence, she begins to unravel a story of profound passion and the daring love that awaits her if she’s willing to embrace the most enigmatic adventure of her life.
Hi Jude,
I hope this comment reaches you. On August 3, 2023, I just finished your book MY HEART WILL FIND YOU!
WOW!!!!!
What a unique, captivating novel!!! It kept my brain working continuously keeping all the characters straight. So many twists and turns!!!
I liked the way you kept me engaged between her “real” life and her ‘dream’ life…each time she traveled from one to the other adding new info to keep the reader guessing. It seemed every time i thought you were going to wind up the story, you’d add a new twist.
The other day, my hairdresser wrote down your name and the title when I recommended it to her. It’s the first time she’s done that.
That you for one excellent read. I will be recommending it to all my friends.
