Lesley Cookman Synopsis: Murder in Steeple Martin is the first Libby Sarjeant murder mystery by Lesley Cookman. Libby is an artist and formerly an actress. While she’s directing a play at a new village theatre, one of her cast turns up dead. The play was written by her friend Peter, who based it on true events in his family during the war. The investigation reveals some odd relationships from within the village and the play digs up some of the old events that lead to murder. Libby ends up finding herself in the middle of the investigation, but is she too close to Peter to solve the murder?
