Inspector McLean is the protagonist in a series of crime fiction/mystery novels by Scottish novelist James Oswald. Detective Inspector Tony McLean works in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland.
James Oswald began his Inspector McLean series in 2012 with the novel Natural Causes. The novel was shortlisted for the Crime Writers Association Debut Dagger Prize. Oswald followed it up later the same year with The Book of Souls. The series is currently ongoing.
