I have been an avid reader of crime and spy thrillers for decades .
Martin Cruz Smith, John Le Carre , Len Deighton , James Lee Burke, Phillip Kerr are my favourites and I have read their books many times over.
But my absolute favourite perhaps in part because I am Australian and so many of his books are set here and involve Australian characters and their dialogue , is Peter Temple.
