Amor Towles Synopsis: Rules of Civility is a novel by Amor Towles. On the last night of 1937, 25-year-old Katey Kontent is in a second-rate Greenwich Village jazz bar when Tinker Grey, a handsome banker, happens to sit down at a nearby table. This chance encounter and its startling consequences propel Katey on a year-long journey into the upper echelons of New York society – where she will have little to rely upon other than a bracing wit and her own brand of cool nerve.
I just finished reading a book my daughter gave me that she received from a friend of hers by Amor Towles, “The Lincoln Highway.” I enjoyed this book so much that I was sorry to finish it and only hoped their was a continuation of it.
I have to say it was one of the very best books that I’ve ever read and look forward to checking out his other works.
