If You Like Kristen Lepionka Books, You’ll Love…
The Last Place You Look is the first book in the Roxane Weary series of books. The book introduces us to Roxane Weary, a private investigator and complex character. She is brought on the case of the missing Sarah Cook. The young girl went missing fifteen years on the same night that her parents were murdered. Her boyfriend was a guy named Brad Stockton, a black guy from the wrong side of the tracks, who was convicted of the murders and now sits on death row. When his sister thinks she sees Sarah in town, she hires Roxane to look into the case and hopefully save her brother’s life.
Lepionka followed that book up with What You Want To See. Marin Strasser has a secret and before they get married, her fiance wants to know what it is so he hires Roxane Weary as a private investigator. Just as her investigation gets under way, Marin is shot dead and her client is a suspect. Roxane continues to dig deeper into Marin’s life after her death and finds that there is much more to this story than meets the eye.
