Cass Green is the author of The Woman Next Door and In a Cottage In a Wood. Cass Green is actually a pen name for Caroline Green an award-winning YA author. She uses the name Cass Green when writing more adult themed novels.
In addition to her novel writing, Green is the Writer in Residence at East Barnet School and teaches Writing for Children at City University. She has worked as a journalist for over twenty years with contributions to many publications. Her books have gotten rave reviews upon release and been shortlisted for numerous awards, with Hold Your Breath winning the Oldham Book Award.

The Killer Inside is an intersting book as it is played over multiple time periods. The book takes place in 2003, 2018, 2019, and 2021. The book has a duel narrative that focuses on Elliot and Irene. Elliot is married to Anya and happily in love. While Irene is a mother dealing with, and trying to understand, the disappearance of her two sons. Their stories seem disconnected, but slowly grow together in shocking ways. This is a slow-building psychological thriller that is hard to really preview without spoiling too much. The tension builds and builds until an incredible twist in the story that changes everything going forward.
Another book by Green, The Woman Next Door is one of her biggest hits. The book sees two neighbors, Melissa and Hester, who have been neighbors forever. When Melissa’s daughter was growing up, Hester was like a grandmother to her. As the years have gone by, they have grown apart, but Hester has plans to change all that. Despite Melissa’s glamorous and successful life, Hester knows she needs her help. But is that a good idea? Melissa has a lot of secrets, ones she isn’t ready for Hester to know.
