If You Like Chris Collett Books, You’ll Love…
Deadly Lies is the first book focusing on DI Tom Mariner. The story starts when a journalist named Eddie Barham is found dead in his home with a syringe in his arm and an apparent suicide note by his side. DI Tom Mariner doesn’t quite see it that was as he saw Barham the night before, picking up a woman in a bar. His investigation of the premises lead him to Barham’s younger brother Jamie who is hiding in a cupboard under the stairs. Jamie has severe autism and is the only witness to the death, but communication is almost impossible. Mariner will need to work to find out what Jamie knows to solve this case.
Collett is also the author of The Truth About Murder. Stefan Greaves is brutally mugged investigating a complaint about a local hospital and ends up in a coma. The woman who made the complain has now disappeared and rookie policeman Mick Fraser is given the case. They are set to track down the missing women when a body is found on the riverbank. What is the connection between these two crimes and can Mick put the pieces together before it’s too late?
