The Marriage Lie is Belle’s first book and tells the story of Iris and Will. The two have been married for seven years and have a seemingly perfect life. One day, Will flies out for a business trip to Florida. That same day, a plane heading for Seattle crashes and kills everyone on board and Will was one of the passengers. Iris is grief stricken, but left wondering: why did Will lie about where he was going? She sets out to find the truth about her husband, uncovering answers that will shock her to the core.
Belle is also the author of Stranger in the Lake. Charlotte married Paul, a widower, which was the source of much gossip in their small town. Despite that, the two are enjoying a charmed life together. Paul has put behind him the drowning of his ex-wife and the two are seemingly happy. Life takes a twist when a woman is found drowned in the lake in the exact same spot as Paul’s ex-wife. Making matters wore, Paul knew her as Charlotte saw them talking just the day before. Paul tells the police that he never met the woman which sends Charlotte on a search to find out what her husband is hiding.
