Janny Wurts is an American author and illustrator. She is best known for co-writing the Riftwar Cycle: The Empire trilogy with Raymond E. Feist. She is also the author of the Wars of Light and Shadow series and The Cycle of Fire series.
The book cover images for her books are actually her own paintings. Wurts does a lot of her own research including a lot of outdoor experience which makes for some exciting sailing, riding and wilderness scenes in her books. Wurts makes her home in Florida where she lives with her husband and their pats.
