Order of Nicholas Rhea Books
Nicholas Rhea was an English author best known for writing the Constable Nick Mystery series. Constable on the Hill was the first book in the series, released in 1979.
The name Nicholas Rhea was actually a pseudonym for the author, Peter N. Walker. He was born in Glaisdale, a North York Moors village. He would leave school at a young age to become a police cadet. After doing that for a few years, he started to write seriously and had his first short story published in a magazine. He wrote well over 100 books in his career, but the Constable Nick books were the most favored.

If You Like Nicholas Rhea Books, You’ll Love…
Constable on the Hill is the first book in the Constable Nick Mystery series. Nick Rhea has been posted to the country and moves his family to the village of Aidensfield. The area is filled with eccentric visitors and Rhea handles himself with humour, humanity, and professionalism. This book sees him being looked upon suspiciously as a newcomer, but quickly being welcomed into the city. He will deal with a variety of complaints, including dog problems, fox hunts, and a circus parade. Rhea always finds a way to solve the problems and keep the community together.
Rhea is also the author of the Assured series which begins with Some Assured. Matthew Taylor begins work as an insurance agent. He’s excited for his new job, but what he never expected is to deliver a stallion foal and kill seven pigs on his very first day. That’s the kind of work that will happen in 1950s rural Delverdale, deep in the North York Moors. As Matthew makes his home here with his wife Evelyn and baby Paul, the family is happy to oblige.
