Joshua Dalzelle Synopses: Omega Rising is the first book in Joshua Dalzelle’s Omega Force series. Jason Burke’s reclusive life in the Rocky Mountains takes an unexpected, violent turn. A quiet night is interrupted by the sight of a fiery crash nearby, and his curiosity drives him to investigate. What he thinks is a downed plane turns out to be a damaged alien spacecraft, and before he realizes it, Jason finds himself trapped on board, whisked away from Earth.
Now far from the life he knew, Jason must navigate the unfamiliar—and treacherous—universe of interstellar politics, ruthless crime syndicates, and government conspiracies. Strange creatures populate this new world, and Jason quickly discovers that allies can be as dangerous as foes. Pulled into a network of alien smugglers, corrupt officials, and mercenaries with hidden agendas, he’s constantly balancing survival with his determination to return home.
Warship by Joshua Dalzelle is the first book in the Black Fleet Trilogy series. humanity’s complacency is about to come to a brutal end. The 25th century has seen humans spread across the stars, settling hundreds of worlds and embracing a seemingly endless era of peace and prosperity. With faster-than-light travel, space has been at their disposal, and resources have flowed without limit. But with peace reigning for centuries, the skills and tools of war have been left to decay, seen as relics of a darker time.
Captain Jackson Wolfe, once a soldier in a long-forgotten conflict, commands an aging starship that’s become a relic of humanity’s warless history. But when a new and terrifying enemy appears on the fringes of human space, threatening extinction, he finds himself forced back into the role of defender. As the first brutal attacks strike human colonies, Jackson must rally his crew, using what little firepower they have left to face an enemy more advanced and ruthless than anything they’ve known.
Blueshift is a standalone novel by Joshua Dalzelle. Commander Markus Brentwood and the crew of the Polaris Project are pioneers on a mission no human has ever attempted: an interstellar journey to Angel-21, a star system light-years from Earth. They knew what they were sacrificing—everyone they loved would be long gone when they returned. But the thrill of discovery, the promise of being the first humans to set foot on an alien world, overshadowed the haunting consequences of time.
After centuries in stasis, the crew awakens with the promise of returning home. But as they approach Earth, they realize it’s a place unrecognizable. Eight hundred years have passed, and humanity has evolved into something alien, society transformed by forces they couldn’t have anticipated. What should have been a triumphant return becomes a descent into chaos as Brentwood and his crew must confront both the mysteries of this new Earth and the mental strains of a crew fraying at the edges.
As Brentwood tries to piece together the truth of humanity’s evolution—and whether Earth is even hospitable to them anymore—the Polaris teeters on collapse, its aging systems struggling to keep them alive. The questions of survival, belonging, and identity rise to the surface in a world that no longer has a place for them. Caught between the dangers of deep space and the alienation of Earth, Brentwood and his team face a journey back unlike anything they could have imagined, where even making it home might not mean a safe haven.
