Paullina Simons Synopses: Lone Star is a standalone novel by Paullina Simons. For Chloe, the summer before college is supposed to be a farewell to her childhood and a thrilling last hurrah with her boyfriend and two best friends. The journey begins with dreams of sun-soaked Barcelona but quickly takes a detour through the haunting cities of Eastern Europe to fulfill an old family promise.

In this land of cobblestone streets and lingering shadows of the past, Chloe meets Johnny, an enigmatic American drifter with a guitar, a captivating smile, and a haunting story of his own. As the group travels from Treblinka to Trieste, and Vilnius to Venice, they uncover not only the ghosts of Europe’s history but also the secrets that Johnny has long kept buried.

As Chloe’s connection to Johnny deepens, her carefully laid plans for the future begin to unravel. Her friendships, her relationship, and even her sense of self are thrown into question as the journey forces each of them to confront truths they never expected.

A Song in the Daylight is a standalone novel by Paullina Simons. Larissa Stark appears to have it all—an adoring husband, two beautiful children, and a picturesque life in the suburbs of New Jersey. But beneath the surface of her perfect world lies a woman who feels lost, trapped by the expectations of others and haunted by a lingering sense of emptiness she can’t quite name.

When a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger ignites something in her she hasn’t felt in years, Larissa begins to question everything she thought she knew about love, happiness, and herself. The cracks in her idyllic life grow wider as she is faced with decisions that test her loyalty, challenge her values, and force her to confront the dreams she abandoned long ago.

Torn between her roles as a wife and mother and the need to rediscover who she truly is, Larissa must grapple with the question at the heart of it all: Is it ever too late to rewrite your story?

Road to Paradise is a standalone title by Paullina Simons. Shelby Sloane’s plan for the summer of 1981 is straightforward: a solo cross-country drive in her classic yellow Mustang, a quest to find the mother who abandoned her, and a return to the East to begin college. But when her childhood friend Gina insists on tagging along to reunite with her boyfriend in Bakersfield, Shelby’s carefully laid plans start to unravel.

What begins as a road trip of nostalgia and new experiences takes an unexpected turn when they break their “no hitchhikers” rule and pick up Candy Cane—a streetwise girl with a mysterious past and a bold, rebellious spirit. Candy’s piercing eyes, spiky hair, and haunted demeanor hint at a life Shelby and Gina can’t imagine.

As Candy draws them into her shadowy world, the journey becomes far more than Shelby bargained for. Secrets are revealed, friendships are tested, and the open road becomes a path into danger and self-discovery. Bound by their shared experiences but fractured by fear and mistrust, the trio must navigate a summer where nothing is as it seems—and no one can return home the same.
