Cate C. Wells Reviews: The Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate is book one in The Five Packs series by Cate C. Wells. The plot is well-crafted, complemented by an excellent writing style and a cast of truly likeable characters. The journey to a happy ending is filled with plenty of angst and emotional depth, keeping readers invested. The female protagonist stands out for her emotional resilience, refusing to fall for a man’s charm simply because he’s attractive. Despite her lack of physical strength, her inner fortitude shines through.

The male lead, while not always likable, proves to have a kind heart. His devotion to his mate is undeniably endearing, even if his willingness to accommodate her verges on excessive at times—a dynamic she occasionally exploits. However, this interplay works beautifully within the context of the story.

Overall, this is a highly recommended read for anyone seeking a blend of emotional intensity, strong character development, and a satisfying conclusion. -Anonymous

Charge is the first book in the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club Romance series by Cate C. Wells. This was my first book by this author, and it definitely won’t be my last! The writing was excellent, and the characters were wonderfully developed. Six-year-old Jimmy was absolutely adorable and a standout character. The story was engaging, and I’m excited to explore more of the author’s work.

While the book provided a complete and satisfying story, I found the epilogue a bit lacking in focus on Charge, Kayla, and Jimmy. Instead, it leaned heavily into setting up Nickel’s book. It would have been nice to see more about their future as a family, but they got their happily-ever-after, so the ending was still fulfilling overall. -Anonymous

I devoured Return to Monte Carlo by Cate C. Wells over two evenings, unsure of what to expect beyond an 80s throwback romance centered on a troubled marriage. It turned out to be a thrilling ride! I was completely captivated, feeling like I’d been transported into an 80s TV drama from my childhood—but with an added layer of steam.

The nostalgic 80s references paired with the sizzling CNC dynamics between the main characters kept me hooked from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down, and it left me on the edge of my seat (and seeking a little… tension relief of my own).

Cate C. Wells has outdone herself yet again. Every book I read from her makes me an even bigger fan! -Anonymous
