G.R. Jordan is a self-published author based in Scotland. He is the author of the Highlands & Islands series of detective thrillers.
Jordan graduated from Loughborough University where he studied chemical engineering, but he ultimately just played a lot of American football. He would have many careers after this including changing the shape of cereal flakes, watching vegetables freeze, and he is currently an air traffic controller. He decided at forty years old that it was important to be creative in order to live his best life which led to the publication of his novel. Jordan is based in Isle of Lewis in Scotland where he lives with his family.

Water’s Edge is the first book in the Highlands & Islands Detective series. The book sees Detective Inspector Macleod making the return to his island home twenty years after the loss of his wife. Macleod is religious and conservative, but he must now form a bond with his new partner who is free spirited. They are seeking to find the killer of a young woman which will shine a light on an evil that is lurking beneath the surface of the town. In order to solve the case, Macleod will have to return to the place where he lost everything.
Jordan is also the author of the Patrick Smythe series. The series begins with The Disappearance of Russell Hadleigh. Smythe is a former policeman with one-arm who now works as an investigator. For his latest case, he will infiltrate a golfing scene in order to uncover what happened to his client’s husband. His investigation will lead him into the world of golf where he’ll find out who likes to play in the rough. It all leads to a high stakes showdown where lives will be at stake.
