If You Like Glennon Doyle Books, You’ll Love…
Love Warrior: A Memoir is the highly personal story of Glennon’s journey of self-discovery after the implosion of her marriage. She had a great life and thought she had it all figured out with three happy children, a writing career, and a doting husband. However, things weren’t all as they seemed and a revelation of infidelity by her husband sent her reeling. Glennon is a recovering alcoholic and bulimic, and her experience helped her to deal as she found that her deepest pain has always held within it an invitation to a richer life.
Doyle is also the author of Untamed. The book gets into what it means to be a woman and the voice that longs inside each woman. Each woman asks themselves the question: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? However, many silence that question and tell themselves to be grateful for what they have. Glennon did this for many years until the day she looked across a room and instantly fell in love. She soon realized that this was that voice, the one she told to be quiet and be grateful, but this time she would listen to it.
