I am going to try Jonathan King’s books. I really enjoy the “Florida” books. Have you tried Tom Dorsey? He astounds me. How stories and be that violent and funny at the same time!!
Maybe no one reads this BUT in 2002 when I ran into “The Blue Edge of Midnight” I recommended this book to everyone. Of course, it was an award winning debut. I am on my second go round of King’s earliest books and always waiting for the next. A great author – a classically styled thriller writer – literary prose with a modern subject and “twist” in the style of Crais and Connelly – but all the charm and Florida style of John D. McDonald and Randy Wayne White. In my opinion, a must read for any Florida fiction fan and for anyone who appreciates good literature in this genre…Conroy+Faulkner+Elmore Leonard=something for all! Great stuff!
I read it 🙂 (As I do every comment I do on the site) And I appreciate you taking the time to write this. I’m going to recommend it in this months newsletter!
Yes! I stumbled across this book and read it last month and couldn’t put it down. I’m going to read all his books now! :-))
