Karen Harper was an American author of historical fiction, mystery, romance and romantic suspense novels. She was the author of the Elizabeth I Mysteries series, Maplecreek Amish Trilogy, Amish Home Valley and Cold Creek series. In past careers, Karen had taught English at Ohio State University, high school literature and writing. She not only loves the midwest (as a lifelong resident of Ohio) and the southeast, she loved to go back into her Scottish and English ancestral roots and set her novels in the Tudor Era. Karen won the Mary Higgins Clark Award in 2005 and her novels have been published in many different languages. She was both a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.
