Order of Katrine Engberg Books
Katrine Engberg is a Danish author who burst onto the scene with her debut crime fiction novel, The Tenant. This book is also known as Crocodile Guardian and it was first published back in 2016. The book was a massive hit and got numerous great reviews upon it’s release. The book was listed as an O, The Oprah Magazine Title to Pick Up Now and an Indie Next Pick.
Before writing her first novel, Engberg was an accomplished dancer and choreographer who worked in both television and theater. Katrine was always a voracious reader and actually learned English from reading the works of Ruth Randall, Dorothy Sayers, and Sue Grafton. She would write from a young age, but it did take her some time to come around to write for a career as she worked as a choreographer, instructor, and dancer before she decided that she needed to finish her novel. Engberg lives in Østerbro with her husband and their child.

If You Like Katrine Engberg Books, You’ll Love…
The Tenant starts with the body of a young woman named Julie is discovered brutally murdered in her apartment. Copenhagen police detectives Jeppe Korner and Anette Werner are assigned to the case and soon find a link between the victim and her landlady, Esther de Laurenti. The landlady is a big drinker and often throws parties with her artist friends, and is herself a budding novelist. Esther is writing an unfinished mystery novel and in the book, Julie is the murder victim. The link between fiction and real life is dangerously close, and she becomes a prime suspect. As the detectives dig deeper, Esher’s role becomes muddled as they are not sure if she is the culprit or another victim in a twisted game. The detectives will need to work fast to discover the true face behind this brutal game.
I have just read the four books in Katrine Engberg’s Korner/Werner series. I could not put them down. Waiting eagerly for more books to be added to this author’s work,
