Her series include the KEY News series, which is based on her history in broadcast journalism (working as a desk assistant at CBS News), and The Wedding Cake Mysteries featuring Piper Donovan. She gained an interest in suspense due to her father being an FBI special agent who uncovered Russian spies during the Cold War. She is the one-time daughter-in-law of Mary Higgins Clark.
