Minerva Spencer is an author of historical romance novels. She also writes as S.M. LaViolette and S.M. Goodwin. Prior to becoming a novelist, Minerva worked as a criminal prosecutor, college history teacher, B&B operator, dock worker, ice cream manufacturer, reader for the blind, and motel maid. Now, as a novelist, she tries to write uncommon heroes and heroines in their own unique and difficult situations. When Minerva isn’t writing, she is probably playing with her dogs and birds, buying more beads and yarn than she has use for, and renovating her old house with her husband.

Minerva Spencer made her debut as a novelist in 2018 with Dangerous. Below is a list of Minerva Spencer’s books in order of when they were first released:

If You Like Minerva Spencer Books, You’ll Love…

Minerva Spencer Synopses: Notorious is the first book in the Rebels of the Ton series. Drusilla Clare has always had strong opinions on why a woman should avoid marriage, but that doesn’t stop the undeniable attraction she feels every time her best friend’s brother, the notorious rake Gabriel Marlington, comes near. Her world is turned upside down when she finds herself in the clutches of a scoundrel, only to be dramatically rescued by Gabriel. But when Gabriel offers a proposal—cold and calculated yet undeniably thrilling—Dru’s firm resolve begins to waver.

Sharp-tongued and quick-witted, Drusilla never imagined she’d be forced into marriage due to one impulsive moment. Yet Gabriel, despite his reputation, finds himself drawn to her. There’s something about the way her skin flushes with every verbal spar, and the way she feels in his arms that has him captivated. Gabriel is even intrigued by her unconventional views, which challenge his own. However, when he discovers a secret rival vying for Dru’s affection, his jealousy ignites.

But the real danger to their newfound union is something neither of them anticipates. To secure their future—and their lives—they must learn to trust one another and nurture the love that’s beginning to blossom between them.

The Boxing Baroness by Minerva Spencer is the first book in the Wicked Women of Whitechapel series. Minerva Spencer’s new historical romance series introduces Regency-era heroines who, despite their questionable birth, are destined for greatness. These women possess sharp minds and unique talents that allow them to stand toe-to-toe—and heart-to-heart—with the finest men of the ton.

Marianne Simpson is one such heroine. Educated and magnetic, she carries herself like a lady but has the looks of a lover—not a fighter. Yet, she makes her living as a boxer in her uncle’s circus, Farnham’s Fantastical Female Fayre. However, when the strikingly handsome Duke of Staunton, St. John Powell, starts attending her shows, Marianne finds herself dangerously distracted. With her life on the line, she knows her time in the ring is limited. But resisting her growing attraction to the man known as Lord Flawless proves to be an even greater challenge.

St. John Powell isn’t just captivated by Marianne—he needs her. His brother has been taken hostage by a treasonous English baron, infamous as the Rake of Rakes. Despite Marianne’s reluctance to confront her deceitful ex-lover, who saddled her with the humiliating nickname the Boxing Baroness, St. John must persuade her to help. Even if that means stepping into the ring with the captivating boxer and taking everything she can dish out.

The Dueling Duchess is the second book in Minerva Spencer’s Wicked Women of Whitechapel series. When Cecile Tremblay lost everything in the French Revolution, she never expected to make a living as a markswoman in a London circus. But Farnham’s Fantastical Female Fayre has become her sanctuary, providing her with a home, family, and a future. What Cecile also never anticipated was getting caught up with the man the gossip columns have dubbed The Darling of the Ton. After rejecting his insulting offer of a carte blanche and learning of his engagement to an heiress, Cecile thought she was done with Gaius Darlington. Yet, just weeks later, he’s back, this time pleading for her help. And help him she will—by teaching him the value of honest work and the proper way to treat a woman.

Gaius Darlington has always lived a charmed life—until now. A long-lost heir has suddenly surfaced, threatening to claim his title, possessions, and property. To make matters worse, Guy’s fiancée has abandoned him to marry the usurper. But there’s a silver lining: Guy is no longer bound by duty to marry for the sake of the dukedom. He’s free to pursue the woman he truly loves—if he can only win back her trust.

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. But fury is just a heartbeat away from passion, and Guy knows exactly how to ignite Cecile’s…
