Detective Chief Bob Skinner heads Edinburgh’s CID has seen a lot of things, but nothing could prepare him for the mutilated corpse that has been discovered in an alleyway. The body is that of a young, successful lawyer and the motive is unknown. More killings that appear to be random occur in the city and it can only be deduced that a serial killer is on the loose. But things get serious when the lawyer’s fiancee is also found dead.
