The first book I ever read was about a boy in the desert who you think has died but didn’t . He worked in diamond mines and eventually tried to smuggle diamonds out of the mines . He was near
the ocean and I can’t remember all of the book. He and his friends were running from men that worked in the mines. Think a movie was made out of the book. Please help, been trying to find answer for years. Think book was written in the late 60’s or early 70’s.
Master of the game.
The first Sidney Sheldon book I read started with a person (woman?) in the desert or desolate land. Vultures were circling her maybe starting to peck at her. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TITLE? I picked it up from my mom, so maybe 1965 to 1980. Maybe about diamonds. It’s driving me bonkers. Just read Are You Afraid of the Dark.
