Susan Lewis is a British author who has published over forty books in her career. She is known for books like Just One More Day and One Day at a Time, as well as the Andee Lawrence series of books.
Lewis had worked in television for HTV. One day she asked her Controller’s desk what she had to do to become a producer. He recommended to her to write something which led to her writing books. She eventually was able to leave her job and focus on her writing full-time.

She lives in the close-knit community of Kesterly-on-Sea where she is in lockdown with her husband when one day she just disappears. Cara Jake is assigned to the case along with Andee Lawrence to look into the disappearance and find out what really happened to the woman. The young investigator starts by questioning the residents of the community and knows that someone here has a secret they are hiding, but with so many lies she’ll have trouble finding the truth.
