What I Read: July 2011
Written by Dan Malone
What I read in July may be lacking in terms of variety, but I’d say it’s been rocking in terms of quality!
When it comes to book reading, I really enjoyed the month of July.
I mentioned in my June What I Read blog that I had started a new author, Andy McNab, and his Nick Stone series of books. I’m happy to say that I continued to plough through that series over the last couple of weeks.
By the end of June I had just finished reading Last Light. In July I read Liberation Day, Dark Winter, Deep Black and Aggressor, finishing them all.
I also started Recoil on the last day of the month. I’m starting to get that sad feeling – where you know you’re getting to the end of a great book series. I’ll be able to read them again of course, but it’s just not the same ya know? After Recoil, I’ll have just four books left in the series.
This is seriously my favourite book series of all time. I didn’t think anything could replace Jack Reacher even though the Mitch Rapp Books came close.
If you’re looking for something to read, and are a fan of books featuring the likes of Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher, stop what you’re doing and immediately pick up the first Nick Stone book. Trust me – 5 chapters in you’ll be hooked.
Whew – great reading month for me. What did YOU read in July?
