Game Of Thrones Synopses: George R.R. Martin has been dubbed the “American Tolkien” by Time magazine. His epic series A Song of Ice and Fire has created a rich fantasy world. The series is set in an age of chivalry with interesting characters that you will love in their fight for the kingdom. The series has been adapted into the HBO series Game Of Thrones.
In A Dance with Dragons, following a battle of gigantic proportions, the future of the Seven Kingdoms is unknown, with threats coming from every which way. Daenerys Targaryen rules in the east with her three dragons, but she has thousands of enemies who are deadset on finding her. However, a young man has gone off on his own quest in her name with his own intentions…
A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin is the second book in the Song of Ice and Fire series. A blood-and-flame coloured comet cuts across the sky. Two great leaders – Lord Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon – who hold sway over an age of enforced peace are dead, victims of royal betrayal. Now, from the ancient citadel of Dragonstone to the forbidding shores of Winterfell, chaos reigns. Six factions fight to control a divided land and the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms, preparing to stake their claims through tempest, turmoil, and war. It is a tale in which brothers squabble over power and the some rise from the dead and walk in the night. A princess passes herself off as an orphan boy; a knight of the mind prepares a poison for a treacherous sorceress; and wild men descend from the Mountains of the Moon to ravage the countryside. Against a backdrop of incest and fratricide, alchemy and murder, victory may go to the men and women possessed of the coldest steel… and the coldest hearts. For when kings clash, everything around them trembles. The novel was adapted into the second season of Game of Thrones.
