If You Like Maple Syrup Mysteries, You’ll Love…
The first book in the series is A Sticky Inheritance which sees Nicole’s uncle passed and her leaving her law career to run his syrup farm. She thought it would be good to get away from all the murder, but it manages to find her. Her uncle’s suicide looks more like a murder to her and the chief of police is reluctant to negotiate. To find out the truth, Nicole will have to do it herself.
The second book in the series is called Bushwacked. Trouble keeps finding Nicole as she is driving through a snow storm one night and hits what she thinks is a deer. The deer turns out to be a human being and the good news is she didn’t kill him: he was already dead. Nicole feels guilty about what happened and convinces the local sheriff to allow her to insist on the investigation as to what really killed this man.
