E.L. James Puts “Fifty Shades” Casting Rumours To Rest
For those who are clamouring for an announcement for who will be playing Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James‘ Fifty Shades trilogy, E.L. James has put those rumours on hold.
“I am not making any comments on casting. No one is ruled out or in yet – far too early.”
However, it does appear that for writer and director, there does seem to be some progress being made. American Psycho’s Bret Easton Ellis was removed from the shortlist of possible screenwriters.
“I hope you find someone as passionate as I was about “50 Shades of Grey.’ I’ll miss it. Moving on. Laters, baby,” he tweeted.
His fate may have been sealed when he tweeted that gay actor Matt Bomer should not get the role of Christian Grey, regardless of acting ability. James insists that no actors or actresses are out of the running yet.
