Irvine Welsh Endorses Drug Use After Watching “Ecstasy”
Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh says he thinks kids should take drugs after they watch his new movie Ecstasy.
The movie, which is about Edinburgh’s 90s raves and is based on his 1996 novel of the same name, stars Adam Sinclair and Billy Boyd and is out next week.
The Scottish author realizes not everyone will agree with his opinions.
“I wanted to get totally f****d up when I saw the film,” said Welsh. “I know it’s not the fashionable thing to say because movies shouldn’t encourage young kids to take drugs.
“I’m like, yes it will — yes it should basically.”
