It’s Tuesday, which usually means a trip to the bookstore, or whether it be in person or online. Let’s have a look at some of the book releases for Tuesday, July 3rd…
Karin Slaughter has a new book out – Criminal. Will Trent is surprised to be left off the case of a missing college student until he discovers the motivation of his supervisor that goes back almost 40 years.
Also hitting shelves is the 4th book in the H&W Investigations series by Jess Haines, Stalking the Others. It’s an urban fantasy novel with vampires, werewolves and mages in New York City.
We also have the 9th book in the Alex McKnight series by Steve Hamilton. Die a Stranger is set in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A deserted airstrip sees a plane land and leave five dead bodies behind and meanwhile a close friend of Alex’s is missing.
Finally, Ben Coes makes his third outing with The Last Refuge. This action adventure/spy thriller has an the Iranians building their first nuke with the intention of attacking Israel, which Israeli Special Forces commander named Kohl Meir finds out about. Meir is captured by the Iranians, who torture him in preparation for a “fair trial.” Unbeknowst to the Iranians, Meir is owed a favour by Dewey Andreas who must rescue Meir and stop Iran from deploying their nuke.
