Yet Another Nicholas Sparks Book To Make Big Screen
Warner Bros. has given the pencil to J. Mills Goodloe to adapt the Nicholas Sparks novel The Best of Me. Warner Bros. acquired the rights in June 2011 before the book was even published.
The Best of Me is about two high school sweethearts who meet back up in a funeral. This is yet another Nicholas Sparks book to get Hollywood treatment, following Dear John, The Last Song, The Notebook and Nights in Rodanthe. Also upcoming is The Lucky One with Zac Efron and Safe Haven in pre-production.
Goodloe previously adapted The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin.
