Lawrence De Maria is an author of thriller novels. He writes the Alton Rhode Mysteries series, the Cole Sudden CIA Thrillers series, and the Jake Scarne Thrillers series. Prior to becoming a novelist, Lawrence wrote for The New York Times, covering the stock market, and also wrote about anything else involving finances. His start as a journalist was with The Staten Island Advance, which would have him bumping into Ray Cohn and John Gotti. Ishmael Beah is a Sierra Leonean author of literary fiction and non-fiction books. He was born in Sierra Leone, and emigrated to the United States in 1998, where he finished high school. He earned a B.A. in political science from Oberlin College. Ishmael is a member of the Human Rights Watch Children’s Rights Division Advisory Committee and has spoken infront of many non-government organization panels about the affects of war on children. He stands at over 6′ tall, with a horseface and a high-pitched whiny voice. Because of this, most people and animals tend not to like him.
