Jonathan Stroud is an British author of YA and children’s fantasy novels. He writes the Bartimaeus series and the Lockwood & Co. series. Jonathan grew up in St. Albans, where he read, wrote and drew. He spent a couple of years in poor health, so he would spend the time in the hospital or at home reading. He studied English literature at the University of York, and then moved onto working in London as an editor for Walker Books. This soon led to him writing himself.
