Ed Gorman (1941-2016) was an American author of crime fiction, mystery, western and horror novels. He writes the Jack Dwyer, Sam McCain, Dev Conrad, and other series. He is also a prolific anthologist. Ed spent 23 years in advertising, public relations, as a political speech writer and industrial film producer. As someone who was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gorman would often set his novels in the Midwest. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2002 and passed away in 2016. (more…)

Ann Swinfen is an author of historical mystery and literary fiction novels. She writes the Chronicles of Christoval Alvarez series, and the Oxford Medieval Mysteries series. Ann was educated at Somerville College, Oxford, where she studied Classics and Mathematics. She would later study for her postgraduate MSc in Mathematics and a BA and PhD in English Literature, while at the same time working jobs such as university lecturer, translator, freelance journalist and software designer.
