June 2018 Newsletter
Welcome to the June newsletter! Hope everyone had a good May. The weather in Canada here is starting to get better with some lovely days although there’s still been a few bad ones.
For example every year I participate in Ottawa race weekend and 2 years ago, the race was almost canceled due to a heat wave and it was crazy hot. This year? The race was potentially going to be canceled due to thunderstorms and rain!
However for the most part the weather has been beautiful and I’ve spent many a day just sitting on my front porch, basking in the glow of the sun and reading away on my Kindle. (more…)

She grew up on the Florida Gulf Coast, spent some time studying acting on Broadway until she followed her cowboy to the Southwest. Order of Gladys Mitchell Books
Gladys Mitchell (1901-1983) was an English author of mystery novels and children’s books. She also wrote historical fiction as Stephen Hockaby. She is best known for her Mrs. Bradley mystery series. Gladys attended Goldsmiths College and University College, London. She taught English, history and games at St. Paul’s School, Brentford and then at St. Anne’s Senior Girls School. Gladys began to write novels in the mid-1920s, and continued to teach at various schools until 1961. She earned the CWA Silver Dagger Award in 1976. (more…)
