Chris Allen is an Australian author of action thriller novels. He writes the Intrepid series, featuring Alex Morgan. Chris is formerly a paratrooper, having served in three Commonwealth armies, retiring as Major. He also has served in law enforcement, leading security operations for an international aid agency in East Timor and took over protection of the Sydney Opera House when it was vandalized. Chris was appointed Sheriff of New South Wales in 1998 – a historic law enforcement appointment in Australia. He lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife, Sarah, and their two children. (more…)

Robert Ryan is a British author of historical mystery novels. He writes the Morning, Noon and Night as well as the Dr. Watson series. Robert was born in Liverpool but moved to London when he was eighteen to attend university. He lectured in natural sciences for several years before moving into journalism in the mid-1980s, first with The Face and then the Dylan Jones-edited Arena. Lucinda was born in Ireland, but travelled a lot during her childhood – a lot of which was to the Far East to see her father. She ended up moving to London to work as an actress in film, theatre and television. Lucinda is married with four children and splits her time between Norfolk, England and the South of France. Olivia Manning (1911-1980) was an Anglo-Irish author. Her novels usually had to do with personal journeys, set in England, Ireland and the Middle East – using drawing on her own experiences. After growing up in England and Ireland, she married British Council lecturer R.D. Smith and spent time in Romania, Greece, Egypt and Palestine, before returning to England. Olivia didn’t gain much fame until her Balkan and Levant trilogies were adapted into the “Fortunes of War” TV series in 1987 – seven years after her death. (more…)
