Christian Cameron is an American-Canadian author of historical fiction novels, and also has written military thriller novels with his father, Kenneth Cameron, under the pen name of Gordon Kent. He writes the Tyrant, Long War, Tom Swan and the Head of St. George and the Traitor Son Cycle series in addition to the Alan Craik series as Gordon Kent. He’s also written as Miles Christian. Christian earned his history degree from the University of Rochester. He served in the U.S. Navy for over a decade, including serving in the Gulf War. Scott McEwen is an American novelist of military fiction and non-fiction. He works as a trial attorney in San Diego, California. Scott grew up in Eastern Oregon, where as an Eagle Scout he hiked, fished and hunted whenever possible. After earning his undergraduate degree, he went to London, England to study and work. Splinter Cell is a series of military action-adventure novels created by American author Tom Clancy. Most of the novels were written under the pen name of David Michaels by various authors. The series is based on the video game series of the same name. The protagonist of the series is Sam Fisher, a Splinter Cell, who will be portrayed by Tom Hardy in the 2015 film adaptation. He has split his whole life between the US and UK, attending Dragon School, Oxford, Eton and Yale University (where he earned his B.A.). Gor is a series of science fiction/fantasy novels by American novelist John Norman. The series includes heavy doses of philosophy and erotica as well. Gor is located in a parallel universe and ruled by a species of insectoids known as the Priest-Kings. The Priest-Kings have transplanted various Earth cultures (including Romans, Vikings, etc) onto Gor, along with the various indigenous species. The main character of the series is Tarl Cabot, a British professor and expert swordsman who interacts with all of the various beings. John Norman is an American author of science fiction novels. He is best known for his Gor series and also wrote the Telnarian Histories trilogy. Norman is also a philosophy professor and has published several philosophy books under his real name of John Lange. Philosophy is also a major part of his fiction, as his novels often contain lengthy dissertations of philosophy, criticizing society.
