Marta Perry is an American author of Christian-themed romance novels. Marta had wanted to be an author since she was eight years old, reading Nancy Drew novels. She first started writing as an adult when she was writing children’s stories for Sunday School, then ended up writing stories that were published in magazines. After growing up in rural Pennsylvania, a natural topic for Marta’s novels is the Amish, such as her Pleasant Valley series. She also writes the Flanagans and Brotherhood of the Raven series. Monk is a series of television tie-in mystery novels by American author Lee Goldberg and Hy Conrad. The novels are based on the comedy/drama series starring Tony Shalhoub that ran for eight seasons for a total of 125 original episodes. The title character’s full name is Adrian Monk (played by Shalhoub), who worked for the San Francisco Police Department until his wife was killed in a car bombing that he believed was meant for him. The Diagnosis: Murder series was a series of mystery TV tie-in novels by American author, screenwriter and producer Lee Goldberg. The series is based on the Diagnosis: Murder TV drama series, which ran for eight seasons on CBS and starred Dick Van Dyke. Van Dyke played Dr. Mark Sloan, a physician who worked for the police department (LAPD) and helped solve mysteries along with his son, Detective Steve Sloan (played by Van Dyke’s son, Barry).
