Stony Man is a series of action-adventure novels created by American author Don Pendleton. Stony Man is a clandestine organization that first appeared in Pendleton’s Executioner series. The group only answers to the White House and handles operations that not even the CIA, NSA or FBI will touch. The Executioner is a series of action-adventure novels created by American author Don Pendleton. The main character is Mack Bolan, an Army sniper who served in the Army for 12 years. Bolan was a weapons specialist and a skilled armourer and racked up 97 kills in Vietnam. Order of Don Pendleton Books
Don Pendleton (1927-1995) was an American author of action-adventure, thriller and detective fiction novels as well as non-fiction books. Most of the novels published under the name are using “Don Pendleton” as a house name, featuring characters created by Pendleton – most notably, Mack Bolan: The Executioner and Stony Man. On his own, he wrote the Ashton Ford, Joe Copp and Stewart Mann series. Pendleton served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Nance got his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees and then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. He currently serves as a Lt. Scott Pratt is an American author of mystery novels. He writes the Joe Dillard series. Scott has been writing for most of his life, contributing to the high school newspaper and won the McClellan Award while he majored in English at East Tennessee State University. He began his career writing as a newspaper reporter, columnist and editor for various papers in Tennessee. He then got his law degree from the University of Tennessee. Edward Rutherfurd is the pen name of English author Francis Edward Wintle, who writes historical fiction. Edward was educated at the University of Cambridge and Stanford Business School. He went on to a career as a poltitical researcher, bookseller and publisher. After trying multiple times to write a book or play, he gave up his career and went back home to write his novel Sarum. Rutherfurd’s novels are lengthy – at least 500 pages and sometimes exceeding 1,000. His books have been translated into 20 languages. Edward splits his time between Europe and North America. (more…)
