He is best known for his Cato & Macro series, which takes place during the Roman Empire. He also writes the Revolution series and the Gladiator YA series. Simon now writes full time. She is best known for her Chocoholic Mysteries series, which features Lee McKinney. Her mystery series written under her real name are the Sam & Nicky Titus and Nell Matthews series. Eve has her degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She worked as a reporter, editor and columnist for The Lawton Constitution in Oklahoma for a quarter century. Before becoming an author, Hammett was a Pinkerton agent, which he drew upon as an author. He said, “all my characters were based on people I’ve known personally, or known about.” Although he died in 1961, his career was over in 1934.
