The daughter of a Christian school principal, Neta moved all over the United States until her family settled in Seattle. She says that as a child, she always had her nose in a book and wrote a story about a mountain lion in her senior year of high school that won first place in a Scholastic Magazine contest. The reward money went towards a typewriter. Neta is a prolific author and has written several series, including the Trailblazer series and the Yada Yada Prayer Group series. Elmore Leonard Plans To Keep Writing
Written by Jenny Brady on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013Elmore Leonard had thought that after 47 novels, he had retired. However, after winning the National Book Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters in November, he appears to have had a change of heart.
Leonard, 87, says that he plans to write at least two more books.
“I don’t have any reason to quit,” he said. “I still enjoy writing.” (more…)
