Peter Pan is a fictional character created by J.M. Barrie. Peter Pan is a young boy who lives in Neverland, can fly and does not age. He hangs out with a group of boys called The Lost Boys. The Peter Pan character has appeared in numerous adaptations, including Hook (starring Robin Williams as an adult Peter Pan) and Disney’s Return to Never Land. Order of Fear and Loathing Books
Fear and Loathing is a series of Gonzo journalism novels by American author and journalist Hunter S. Thompson. Although counted as fiction, the series is autobiographical of Thompson. Directors Martin Scorsese and Oliver Stone made attempts at adapting Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas to film. Eventually, Terry Gilliam would adapt it in 1998, starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro. Although a cult hit, the film received mixed reviews and failed at the box office. (more…)

Hunter S. Thompson (1937-2005) was an American author and journalist. He was best known for his style of Gonzo journalism, which he created, that blurs the lines between fiction and non-fiction. He is best known for his novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which was adapted to film by Terry Gilliam in 1998. Suffering from health problems, Thompson took his own life at his compound in 2005. He served in World War II as a soldier and was a POW who received a Purple Heart for what he called a “frostbite.” Vonnegut gave his works all letter grades – he gave Cat’s Cradle and Slaughterhouse-Five an A+, while he gave A’s to The Sirens of Titan, Mother Night, God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater and Jailbird.
