In what should surprise no one, Angelina Jolie is a big fan of E.L. JamesFifty Shades series and is very much interested in being involved with the movie adaptation.

Once the news hit that the books had been optioned, actresses ranging from Emma Watson (who recently shot down any casting rumours) to Kristen Stewart have been suggested for the character of Anastasia Steele. (more…)

“The Shining” Film Sequel in the Works

Stephen King is currently working on the sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep, but meanwhile Warner Bros. is looking at a film prequel to the film directed by the late Stanley Kubrick.

The studio has contacted writer/producer Laeta Kalogridis and partners Bradley Fischer and James Vanderbilt about working on a story for the potential sequel. (more…)

“Elementary” Star Got “Sherlock” Star’s Approval

Before accepting the role of Sherlock Holmes in CBS’ new show “Elementary,” Jonny Lee Miller first got the blessing of friend Benedict Cumberbatch.

Cumberbatch has been playing the role on the BBC show “Sherlock” since 2010.

“The Hobbit” Now Officially a Film Trilogy

It is now official – Peter Jackson has made The Hobbit series into trilogy.

The Lord of the Rings director says that after he cut the first film and part of the second, that there was enough material to produce a third.

Jackson says that much of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s story would remain untold in film form if he had stuck with two movies. (more…)
