Amazon Gets North American Rights To Ian Fleming’s James Bond Backlist

Amazon announced that it has purchased the North American rights to the James Bond novels by Ian Fleming. It’s reportedly a ten-year deal where Amazon will get the rights to both the print books and the eBooks. James Bond print books have sold over 100 million copies worlwide. (more…)

Peter James’ upcoming novel involves an obsessed fan who goes crazy for a rockstar, but the truth is that he himself has been stalked for the past ten years.

HarperCollins Fights To Maintain UK Copyright Laws

HarperCollins, publisher of such names as Agatha Christie, J.R.R. Tolkien and David Starkey, made a plea to the UK Government yesterday to not water the copyright laws down.

“If you do, you will jeopardise the creative industries’ growth and their international competitiveness,” Victoria Barnsley of HarperCollins warned.
