Order of Kate Chopin Books
Kate Chopin (1850-1904) was an American author of short stories and novels. She was born in St. Louis, but moved to New Orleans following her marriage to Oscar Chopin. After Oscar’s cotton business went south, they moved to his family’s plantation in northwestern Louisiana. Their marriage would only last 12 years, due to Oscar’s death. Kate was left a young widow with six children, so she turned to writing. Her work received much criticism at the time due to its openness with sexuality at the time. Nowadays, her work is considered artistic and sophisticated American literature. (more…)

Kate Canterbary is an author of romance novels. She writes the Walshes series, and is a USA Today bestselling author. Kate loves writing smart and smutty stories, and prefers it to chocolate. Prior to becoming a novelist, she reported for an indie arts and entertainment newspaper. Kate believes living on the ocean is as close to perfection as a place can get. Karen Perry is the collective pen name of Irish authors Paul Perry and Karen Gillece. They write suspense novels. Paul has received the Hennessy New Irish Writer of the Year Award, and is a writer/course director in poetry at Dublin’s Faber Academy. Julianne Pachico is a British-American author of literary fiction novels. Born in Cambridge, England, Julianne spent her childhood years in Cali, Colombia, where her parents worked as agricultural social scientists. She moved in Portland, Oregon to earn her B.A. in Comparative Literature from Reed College. She then went back to England to earn her M.A. in Prose Fiction and her PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. She has lectured in Creative Writing at at Sheffield Hallam University, and taught UEA’s M.A. in Creative Writing. (more…)

Helene Hanff was an American author best known for writing 84, Charing Cross Road. That book was the basis for the 1987 film of the same name with Anne Bancroft, Anthony Hopkins, and Judi Dench. She had a hand in creating some of the earliest television dramas. (more…)
